Birthing balls and peanut balls are - amazing - to Birthing balls and peanut balls are - amazing - tools to help you feel more comfortable and supported during labor while encouraging progress and easing tension. Whether youโ€™re on the floor or in the bed or even the shower, there are so many ways to use them!

On the floor:
- Sit on the birthing ball to sway your hips and relieve pressure on your back.
- Lean forward onto the ball for support during contractions; itโ€™s great for opening your pelvis and giving baby more room to move.
- Lean backward with your partner holding you. This can give baby more room to move and takes pressure off the front of you.

In the bed:
- Use a peanut ball between your knees when lying on your side to keep your pelvis open and aligned. This can be especially helpful if youโ€™re laboring with an epidural!
- Kneel on the bed and lean over a birthing ball to relieve tension in your back while encouraging your baby to move into the right position.

Why should you use one?
They help with positioning, relaxation, and keeping labor moving. Plus, theyโ€™re easy to incorporate no matter what kind of birth youโ€™re planning.
